Hi, I'm Tze Wei, a Strength & Conditioning coach with ALLSET !
I was first introduced to sports through dragon boat racing, which also got me interested in strength training. It’s through strength training that I learnt a lot of efficient training methods for building muscle mass & how that assists a lot with both healthy weight loss & improving one’s physical health.
Nevertheless, after utilizing such training methods for an extended duration (1-3 years) & undergoing valuable guidance & education (2014 to present), I learnt the importance of embracing training holistically by including other vital training modalities like stretching to improve & maintain flexibility for injury prevention, as well as eating good & nourishing foods to assist in efficiently achieving optimal health & training goals.
My formal/university educations in exercise science at Deakin & Edith Cowan Universities equipped me with the scientific principles of biochemistry & physiology that are involved in exercise. These principles taught me how a coach can adjust an individual’s training to be more efficient in achieving their training goals & exposed me to the sport of Olympic weightlifting, which I competed in at the national level from 2017 to 2021.
Since then, the experiences that I have gathered from coaching various individuals over the years have taught useful communication & inter-personal skills which have helped me to both take my clients to their training goals, while also educating them in making adequate training & nutrition decisions.
